BandX News - 1/21/2010

OK, We've been fiddling with the advertising on the site, and have settled with minimal advertising. We have added a button to allow people to make a donation to BandX by purchasing an MP3 from CDBaby. Hopefully this way we don't force people to buy the MP3s, and allow for the generous at heart to contribute, so we can give you more music.

If you've noticed, we've brought back the MP3's page. If you're on Safari or Chrome, you can start playing any one of the songs that's there. You also have the opportunity do download the songs from the link above the player for each piece.

Firefox doesn't play mp3s but does play oggs. I've been thinkin about turning all my mp3s to oggs. But there are so many songs now, that it would take me a long time to do it. I do think that i will attempt to upload oggs for the new song from now on so that the players can work .

IE on the other hand does not support the audio tag at all... I guess it's not quite html5 compliant....what else is new?

For all the browsers, however you can still download the songs.

As far as the "Who" album goes, we're working on writing a number of songs including one called Tin Dog, as well as Bo, Companion, and a re-write of the Shanti song: Cybernetia called Cybernetia-2010 and when I say re-write, I mean rewrite with new lyrics and everything. These are all vocal tracks, although I'm expecting the vocals will be heavily effected. We've got a lot of stokes on the fire, and are very excited about this year...It's been over a decade that BandX has ben around, and we still feel we're getting better. We're certain you'll love the next album.

Oh yeah, don't worry about the fact that this next album will have vocal tracks, the main portion of it will still be heavy techno music as you've come to expect from BandX.
